Everyday
I use AI.

Plain-language guides for shop owners and for anybody trying to keep up. Written by someone who runs a small business and uses this stuff every day, not by a developer and not by a researcher.

Why this exists

I use this stuff
every single day.

I do not write code for a living and I do not work at an AI company. I run a small business in Georgia. I use these tools to do the work that used to need a whole team, and I still get things wrong on a regular basis.

Everything I figure out ends up here, free, in words a normal person can read. If it saved me an afternoon, it can save you one.

Useful before clever. That is the whole rule.

The 10-minute
online checkup

Ten checks, done from a private browser window on your own phone, because Google shows the owner a different listing than it shows everybody else. Takes ten minutes. You are counting fails.

0 to 2 fails and you are fine. 6 or more and a stranger looking for what you sell is not finding you, not because the work is bad, because the front door is hard to find.

Three of the ten checks

  • Tap the phone number that comes up. Let it dial, then hang up.
  • Close your site, reopen it, and count to five out loud.
  • Search what you do, not who you are. "Barber austell ga," not your shop's name.

The other seven, plus the scoring table, are in the PDF.
