Turn one idea into six posts
Writing one post and pasting it everywhere is the fastest way to get ignored on every platform at once. Each one has its own unwritten rules, and breaking them quietly kills your reach before anyone reads a word.
The mistake almost everyone makes
A link in the body of a Facebook or LinkedIn post gets it shown to fewer people, because the platform would rather keep you scrolling than send you away. Most people never learn this and just wonder why their posts with links do worse than their posts without them.
The actual fixes, platform by platform
LinkedIn. Pull the link out of the post entirely. Say something like "link in the comments" and paste it as the first comment instead. The post reaches more people and the link is still one tap away.
Instagram. Same problem, different fix, since comments do not work the same way there. Say "link in bio" and keep the bio link current.
Google Business Profile. No hashtags, no handles, none of the social conventions apply. For a local business, this is often the single highest-value post of the six, because the people who see it are already searching for exactly what you do.
Facebook, Threads, and a YouTube description each want their own small adjustments too: mostly around length and how much the platform penalizes an outbound link.
The photo problem nobody thinks about
One photo, six platforms, six different shapes. Square for one, tall for another, wide for a third. Cropping by hand six times is exactly the kind of repeat task worth solving once instead of doing forever.
Why this is worth doing even if you only post to one place
Most small business owners post to whichever platform they check most, and let the others sit empty. Writing the idea once and correctly adapting it everywhere costs almost nothing extra once you have the system, and it means the other five platforms are not sitting there looking abandoned to anyone who checks.
