Nine AI jobs for a normal weeknight

Almost everything written about AI assumes you are trying to build a business with it. Most nights nobody is. Most nights there is a bill that makes no sense, a kid who needs a project by morning, and four things in the fridge. It is genuinely good at all three.

Start with the thing already annoying you

The mistake beginners make is opening it and thinking "what should I use this for." Nothing comes to mind, they close it, and they decide it is overhyped. Go the other way. Pick the thing that already ruined twenty minutes of your week and hand it that.

Nine that work on a Tuesday

The bill you don't understand. Take a photo of it and ask what every line means and which ones you can question.

Dinner from what you actually have. List what is in the fridge. Ask for three things you can make in under thirty minutes.

The 9pm school project. Ask it to explain the topic at your kid's grade level, then ask it to quiz them instead of writing it for them.

The email you're scared to send. Write the angry version. Ask it for the calm one that still says the same thing.

The thing that broke. Photo of the part, ask what it is and whether it is a call-somebody job or a twelve-dollar-part job.

Reading a lease or a contract before you sign. Ask what is unusual in it and what you should ask about. Not legal advice, just questions.

The trip nobody planned. Give it the days, the budget, and who is coming, and make it ask you questions before it answers.

The gift you forgot. Age, interests, budget, and how long you have.

Cancelling something. Ask for the exact steps and the exact words to say when they try to keep you.

The one habit that makes all nine better

Paste this before any of them Before you answer, ask me up to four questions, one at a time, until you have enough to do this well. Don't start until I say go.

It feels slow the first time. It is the difference between a generic answer and one about your actual life.
