The 5 things to turn on first
Most people open AI, type a question, get a decent answer, and close it. That is a search bar. Five settings turn the same app into something that remembers your business and does real work while you do something else.
1. Give it a home for your stuff
Start a project or a workspace and put your real files in it: your prices, your service list, how you talk to customers. Every chat inside that space already knows them. You stop re-explaining your business ten times a week.
2. Turn memory on
Memory is the difference between a helper and a stranger. Once it is on, tell it the boring facts once. Your town, your hours, what you sell, who you sell to. Check it every few weeks and delete anything that went stale.
3. Write down how you want it to answer
There is a settings box for custom instructions. Most people leave it empty. Two sentences in there change every answer you will ever get.
4. Ask it to interview you
The best trick in here and the one almost nobody uses. Before it answers, make it ask you questions. You get a better answer because it finally knows what you actually meant.
5. Schedule one thing
Pick one job you do every week and hand it over on a schedule. A Monday list of who to follow up with. A weekly check on your reviews. It runs whether or not you remember, which is the whole point.
What to skip for now
Ignore agents, plugins, and anything with the word framework in it until these five are running. Adding power to a setup that does not know your business just gets you wrong answers faster.
