Run a page about one thing
A page that posts about one subject, with your face nowhere in it, is a real thing that real people run. Most of them make nothing, and they all fail the same way: they got an audience first and went looking for the money afterward.
Decide the money path first
Before the first post. Write down the sentence: "this page makes money by [X]." If you cannot finish it, you do not have a page, you have a hobby, which is fine as long as you know which one you picked.
The paths are boring and there are only a few: selling your own thing, selling somebody else's thing for a cut, or selling the audience's attention to a brand. Pick one now. The topic that has none of those available is the wrong topic no matter how much you like it.
Score the topic before you commit
Five checks. Is there something to sell against it. Is there enough material that you will not run dry in six weeks. Do people already search for it. Can you post about it without being on camera. And would you still find it tolerable on day ninety.
That last one kills more pages than the other four combined.
Train a research account
Make a fresh account and only follow, watch, and save things in your topic. Within about a week the feed becomes a research tool that hands you what is working in your subject, instead of what is working generally.
Copy the structure, not the post
The measurement that is not vanity
Compare a post to your own account's average, not to somebody else's numbers. A post that beat your average by three times taught you something. A post with more likes than usual because you posted at a better hour taught you nothing.
Read the advice skeptically
Almost every guide about this, including the ones with real numbers on screen, is the front end of a course. That does not make the tactics wrong. It means you check whether the person made money doing the thing or making the video about the thing.
